Year 26: Boss Tendencies::Know Thyself

Who are you? 

I finished typing that question above and then the line to continue typing just kept staring back at me flashing, waiting for me to answer the question. A mocking “Well? Who are YOU” resonating with each flash.

Automatically when someone ask me Who am I, I respond with a confident “I am the daughter of a King, destined for great things” of course with reference to Jeremiah 29:11. {Insert Verse here}. Every morning we wake up we are reassured simply by the air of breath we took within that second. Everyone is not privileged to have seen the day, yet because Christ loves us and He knows that he is not through with us yet, we get to see yet another day.

This segment of my blog “Year 26: Boss Tendencies” will be about my chronicles of being 26 years of age and going through life. Really pursuing the facets in life I would like to change, improve, and even get rid of; things such as my finances, health, food, crafts, relationships, and more. So I figure the first post in this series should always begin at the beginning with the foundation of knowing who you are. Being able to look back at where I’ve been I can understand who I am in the present and who I would like to be in the near future.

Boss Tendencies for me is simple: becoming a lady. Everyone woman is not a lady. But every lady is a woman. There are some things that I like to hold on to which makes my life a little easier, but then again I can get a little too comfortable. For instance make-up…..not a big fan, but when I do put it on it does make a statement. I want to be able to know different ways of applying it especially for the different seasons in life.

At 26, a shy month away from my one year anniversary of graduating with my MBA in Operations, and making a major move to NY, I am tired of what seems to me no progress. However, I have learned to accept my accomplishments and strive for new goals, because I know that once I put my mind to it, it can and will happen. So let the fun begin, and I hope that you will jump on board while we ride Year 26.

I'm Still Here!!!

I know! I know! I know! It's been a while since I posted. Don't worry, I'm STILL HERE! So much has happened since the last time I posted and can't wait to update you! But here is a short summary....

• I spent Christmas alone, not lonely (there's a difference)
• My cousins came into town for NYE (that was a big......)
• I went to Texas! (Reminded me why I moved to NY in a good way)
• My brother is MARRIED!
• I kinda didn't wanna come back to NY (felt homesick)
• The New Year has brought so many Blessings with it!

So within the next couple of days I will be updating and posting new stuff. Once I get a schedule, then I'll be more periodic with the post. Other than that,see ya next time!

Forever and a Day, a Week, & a Month.....

Yea, Yea, Yea ....I know it's been a loooooooooooonnngg time, but for good reason. I guess. Any who, so much has happened in the past couple of days, weeks, and months. I wish my thoughts were more cohesive and ordered, but in truth they are not. SO...since this IS MY blog, I'll just write. Maybe one day, I'll have some sort of structure.

**Updates**
- So I am no longer considering Law School, at least not for Fall 2012.
- I'm still with the Temp agency, which is fine, cause they find me assignments all the time.
- I still live in NY! #Survivor
- My brother is getting MARRIED (Another post entirely)
- I'm still single and Satisfied
- I've gotten clarity on a relationship

I'm sure there's more updates, of course because I am still breathing. But, somethings I would like to change is the consistency of posting blogs. It's like my mind is this BIG idea room and I'm trying to push them out so that they can become actions....still working on that of course. From now on, I hope to be able to post frequently, especially about things that are going on with me in every aspect of my life. I will not post every single detail, because I believe a person should still have a sense of secrecy that makes people want to discover more. I will however keep you updated on such things like the food I cook, my poetry, my crafts, and anything else I deem ME.

Under Construction

Every now and then, I believe that we should all take a step back to re-evaluate our lives. So therefore, I am stepping back to get my thoughts together so that I can produce an effective blog for the world wide web and everything in between. I want to be as transparent as life will allow me to,but will still be modest and respectful. Understand that this blog first and foremost  honors my Father God Almighty. It's simple, without Him, there would be no me nor this blog. SO....Stay tuned as I record my life for as long as I am set to do it. Prayerfully I will bring back my passion of poerty and the simple things I enjoy in life such as food, photography, traveling, crafting, arts, and new experiences. A lot has happened in the last month and I want to make sure I don't miss anything...all in all GET READY....
