Great Start Morning Smoothie

Today is day six of making these morning smoothies and I've gotten into a little routine where that is one of the first things I do in the morning to get me started. After drinking one of these, I honestly feel great! My energy is up, I stay full longer, and I am super productive. Plus it's really good for you. Let's dive into what's in it.

This is an Instagram video making the smoothie, that I created earlier this week.
Enjoy,

The Green Dream - Juice

This my Friends is the Green Dream.

This was my dinner for the first night of my 5 day Cleanse. I used the recipe from here, while I was browsing through websites. It was really tasty and it included a bunch of healthy goods. I altered the recipe by adding half a lemon and ginger, and I didn't have spinach, but it was good either way.

SunDay 1 - Juice Day

I started my five day juice cleanse on Sunday, Feb 24, 2013 and ending it on Thursday, Feb 28, 2013. I want to end February with a bang and jump start March with an explosion of health. So far so good. I will be posting yesterday's juices later tonight. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up with keeping you guys updated. Today is actually Day 3, I am feeling good. 2 more days to go.

Happy Juicing,
Divine

The First Bite: Pearl Couscous, Brussels Sprouts & Tilapia

Sunday's Dinner

So I decided to cook dinner Sunday night and lay off the juice/shakes for at least one of my meals. I started buying the frozen packs of Brussels Sprouts from Trader Joes, the Individual frozen packs of tilapia from Target and the pearl couscous from Whole Foods Market. This meal was easy to make and it satisfied my appetite and also my next day lunch meal.

The First Bite: Breakfast Egg Sandwich

Breakfast food is my favorite food in all the earth, alongside Italian dishes. I cook it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lately though, I've been cooking breakfast for dinner just because that's what I've been craving when I get home. My mom used to cook scrambled egg sandwiches when we were younger, and now as an mid-20 woman, I like to add my two or three cents into the mix. It's pretty simple and easy to make, and might I add healthy too.

The First Bite: Pineapple Kick

Pineapple, Ginger, Celery, and Lemon Juice
Sweet, Fresh and a great summer afternoon drink.

Gathered my ingredients, cut, washed, and peeled. The ginger is what gives this drink a nice kick. With the sweetness of the pineapple, everything just blends well together.

The juicer is my roommates and it's a Sharper Image Juicer that was given to her as a gift, but can be found on the internet.

Going down the tunnel. Pineapple are very nutritious and sweet all by themselves. I love anything pinapple. Just don't get turned off by the rough exterior.

Both the celery and pineapple gives up a lot of juice.

It's get a lil frothy

TADA! The end.

I've been juicing on and off for over 5 years now. I get these sporadic health kicks and want to try new things. I know for sure tho that juicing is awesome and with time and money, can work wonders. Maybe I'll get into the habit of juicing and shed some of this "I love to eat everything in site" fat. Lol.

Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Celery Bunch
1 Pineapple
Ginger
Lemon Juice (optional)

Directions:
1. Wash Celery and cut into pieced to fit through juicer tunnel.
2. Wash and peel ginger.
3. Cut Pineapple (This was done a day before, I knew I wanted to juice it.)
4. Push each ingredient down the juicing tube.
5. ENJOY!
