Free & Unfettered
Every morning I take about the same route to head to the train for work. And every morning as I turn the corner there is bread on the ground and flock of birds nipping away at pieces. I was able to capture this picture and it just made me think of how God takes care of his own. Many times we worry for no reason at all, only to be taken care of. In other versions of this verse it says "they do not sow or reap or store away in barns" -NIV. So here it is these birds that are not more valuable than us and the Father provides for them. My question to you is "As children of God, why are we worrying?"

Welcome to my July
the BEST MONTH EVER
yes, simply because it's my birth month
smack dab in the middle of the year
re-evaluate your New Years resolutions
make mid year resolutions
and just rock on
Welcome to my July
where the grill's are steaming
and the waters are chilling
where one, two and uni pieces are a norm
Farm markets, picnics, and bike riding is a month
Yes, Welcome to my July
the BEST MONTH EVER!

Last Weekend....in Jamaica
Last weekend my best friend and I ventured out to Jamaica for one of my high school friends wedding. Here just a sneak peak of some shots at the beach, enjoying a coconut, pretending to ride a motor bike, and me and the bestie acting silly. I will do another post that is more focused on the wedding itself with pics of the bride and other things we did.
Until then,

Cropped, Rotated & Posted {Instagram}
Last week I had a blast with my girls posted in the middle. It started with me making monkey bread muffins for my co workers, then I purchases a crap load of ginger for only $2.10 (I LOVE Chinatown, NY), then me and my friend went to a DatenGame adult night where we played Old school games like Uno, Spades, Taboo etc. Oh and look at that view of the Brooklyn bridge, not sure if I will ever get over it, Especially when the sun is rising and stuff. The two screens on the top are of us watching the game at the 40/40 club, which we lost, but Game 7 is definitely going to be epic. Oh and while walking to meet my friend, a bird pooped on me. Folks say it's good luck, so I'll see. Also my roommate birthday was on June 15, and we celebrated by doing Karaoke, which was totally AWESOME!
Hope you enjoy your everyday!

Take Me to the King..because He is the Same God & He is Awesome {Now Listening To}
So last night I was finally able catch up with Celebration of Gospel that aired like 2 weeks ago and I LOVE IT! Below are some of the artist that performed along with the songs that they performed. It's just refreshing about the realness of each song. Tamela Mann speaking the truth on how we can get tired sometimes, tired of doing chuch, then Tye hit's up with "If He Did it before, He can do it again, the Same God right now, is the same God back then". And finally Charles Jenkins and crew delivers and AWESOME song. These songs have been on repeat all through the day while I've been at work. Simply Amazing. God is......

The FuNK {Rant}
And no I am not talking about " the blues in my left thigh trying to become the funk in my right." - Love Jones
I'm talking about that state of being that I get in when there is absolutely no motivation to do anything, besides eat. I don't know what it is. Like, I've been trying to find some motivation to get things done.Things like sticking to my challenges such as juicing for 30 days or no meat for a month, updating the blog consistently, and just sticking to my guns.
I remember when I wanted to move to NY, I was adamant about moving here, tried to save money, make plans, little by little. One thing that helped me was when I cut out magazine pages in letter shapes that spelled out New York. Every morning I woke up and that was one of the first things that I saw. It reminded me everyday, this is where I want to be.
Now that I am in NY, I've been stuck in ruts, boughts of minor depression, worry, losing focus, etc. I understand now that everything will not just happen all at once, I need to get my focus in the clear, go back to what worked, which was trusting God and doing my part. I often quote this verse from the Bible "Write the vision, make it plain" Habukkak 2:2. The
Let's pray that my mojo will gladly walk back into my life and decide to stay for a while.
Where's your Mojo?

April Foolery {Rant}

Today I started my 30 Days of juicing, which will definitely be challenging, but I know if I stick to it, I will be able to complete some goals that I have. My motto for this month is "Remember the Why". It is currently on my phone's lock screen, so every time I look down at it I can stay focused.
Another foolish thing that I will get into this month is going hard on my workouts. Not only do I want to focus on the physical aspect of working out, but also the mental and spiritual parts. I've been finding lately that my mind has been running a mile minute with thoughts, ideas, ramblings etc. I really wish my legs would run as much as my mind does, but I digress.
Lastly, because I know I cannot cram everything into one measly ole month, I want to get foolish about my hair care and promoting it's growth. Last month I whipped up some shea butter and some essential oils, at first for my body, but I also decided to use it in my hair as will, while I do twist outs and such. I do mainly want to focus on growing my edges out, because BABAY, they are not the business right now.
So here's to a prosperous month of April, filled with juicing, hair care, and peace of mind.
