Silence: The Golden Child of Wisdom

"I wish you'd shut your mouths—
silence is your only claim to wisdom." -Job 13:5

As the events have unrolled from the weekend, I have been slighty quiet and behind the scenes. Just communicating with family about the matter, making sure that they are ok and have the strength needed for the day. I've also have been reading comments on the matter as well. The more I read, the harder I laugh and sometimes get upset. It's just funny how ignorance have taken a hold of this world. How they allow the news reports to screw with their minds. I get upset because they act as if it can't happen to them, or they use stereotypes, and they point the finger judging. What if the shoe was on the other foot? Ever think about what if it was your family?

So I stay silent. Silently praying. Silently getting strength. Silent and still.

Remaining silent does not mean that you are weak, matter of fact, its a sign of strength, because there is a refusal to bend down to that level. Take heed, as each day goes by; pay attention to the signs. Remain in continuouos prayer as the time is indeed near. I am in no way perfect, each day I wake up Thanking God for the gift of the day. Instead of tearing each other down, why not pray? Be wise about what you say, because it is a reflection of who you truly are.

Much Love,
D. EUGENE

Carpe Momentum

"Cease the Moment"

Now living in NY, my life consist of walking to the subway station, being on a train for about 30 minutes to and from work, then back home again to repeat it for the next 5 days. Oh and I can't forget waiting on the train. So I figure why not cease the moment to  blog. Since, by time I get home, I'm tired and all I want to do is sleep. So for the next however long, I'll be blogging on commute. I'll be able to get my thoughts out and also complete one of my goals which is to be s consistent blogger. So until next time lovers......cease the moments that make up your life!

DIY: Christmas Wreath

Finished Wreath hanging on door

As a natural crafter, I wanted to make a holiday wreath. I found many ideas and tutorials online which was fantastic. This DIY Wreath is actually made up of everything and anything I can find around my house. From construction paper, magazine rip outs, tape, paper bag, hot glue, time and lots of love!

Recycling at its best...Base of the Wreath.

** I'm still working on organizing my pics so they can correlate with the order.

Food: Spicy White Cheddar Mac~n~Cheese

Before going into the oven

So, I was bored and I had a box of generic brand white cheddar mac n cheese that was on sale for $.50 and I gave it a lil remix with some Pepper Jack Cheese and a mixture of other cheese. It was quite simple and really easy. I also made them in little self-serve size dishes. I was able to just take one and go for lunch.

After about 30-40 minutes in the oven
